St. Brendan-the-Navigator

Episcopal Church

Stonington, Maine

One of our former priests, The Rev. Holly Antolini, described us well in her Annual Report when she wrote: “You are a warm, restless, inquisitive argumentative, highly individual and fascinating group of people …You are a small congregation, but your lives and your interests cover such a breadth of experience that you have opened many dimensions of life to me and brought the far corners of the world to my doorstep.”

We are a participatory group, recognizing its responsibility in lay ministry and in the administration of the parish.  Members and visitors, alike, take an active role in the liturgy. Parish life centers around Sunday Eucharist, but our members fully participate in Island life, responding to opportunities for Ecumenical activities that benefit all members of the communities of Deer Isle and Stonington.

We hope that what you read here about the membership and activities of St. Brendan’s will cause you to come, visit,  and worship with us on some Sunday morning soon.
